About Lokalise

Lokalise is a localization and translation management platform used by global brands to scale multilingual product development. With automation, integrations, and collaborative workflows, Lokalise enables teams to deliver localized experiences faster and more efficiently.

Challenge

Lokalise knew they wanted to invest in original research. The team believed localization drove revenue, but they needed to bridge the gap between their intuition and evidence.

"We knew that localization drives revenue. We just didn’t have the numbers to prove it."

Sales had been asking for hard data to help close deals, and the marketing team recognized they needed something more substantial. As Brittany Wolfe, Director of Brand and Growth Marketing, explained, “If we wanted analysts, PR, and external people to focus on what we were writing, we had to do something that was more thought-provoking and thought leadership in nature.” They also needed the “groundbreaking facts” required to “really stand out in all the noise.”

Once they committed to moving forward, another challenge emerged: finding a partner capable of executing the project. Their search turned up only large analyst firms “charging quite high prices.” They were looking for a partner who could align the entire project with their content and go-to-market goals, as well as their budget. Redpoint Insights offered exactly that: a full original research service designed for content-driven teams at a price point they could afford.

Solution

Lokalise partnered with Redpoint Insights for an end-to-end research engagement that included refining the research direction, designing the survey, collecting responses, analyzing the data, and presenting clear, actionable findings—all aligned with their content and go-to-market goals.

Aligning on the right research direction from the start

At the outset, Lokalise had several possible angles for the report but wasn’t sure which would be best to pursue. Redpoint helped them evaluate each idea and determine what was both feasible and most likely to achieve their goals.

Throughout the engagement, the process felt organized and easy to follow. Brittany emphasized how smooth communication was:

“I feel like I was always in the loop and I knew exactly where we were at in the project and what stage we were in.”

Designing a survey built for high-quality, usable data

A core part of the engagement was designing a questionnaire that would deliver high-quality, unbiased data. Lokalise saw quickly how critical this step was. As Rachel put it:

“People think survey design is just really straightforward… but you really have to think about the right questions to ask to get the data you want.”

Redpoint ensured the survey avoided common pitfalls, was structured to support content and narrative development (not just raw research), and maintained data integrity so the results would meaningfully support a narrative around localization’s business impact.

Analysis that surfaced the story in the data

Redpoint also synthesized the findings into an insight-rich presentation that highlighted patterns, gaps, and key takeaways. This made it easy for the Lokalise team to see the connections in the data and understand how the insights aligned with their goals.

Brittany described this stage as especially valuable:

“We’d never looked at that much raw data before, analyzed it and then come up with patterns/key-findings in order to put it into a report. So that was extremely valuable and well worth our money.”

Lokalise also received detailed data tables, enabling their team to continue slicing the results for future content, industry-specific insights, and internal analysis.

Results

Lokalise’s original research quickly became one of their highest-impact content investments—driving revenue influence, strengthening sales conversations, increasing brand visibility, and fueling ongoing content across the organization.

Significant revenue and pipeline impact

The research directly supported both new and existing business. Overall, the report influenced:

  • Nearly $257K in total opportunity ARR
  • 23 of 36 influenced deals closed
  • $54K revenue closed/booked

The research also quickly became a go-to resource for sales to send to new prospects and opportunities, “especially when they needed to convince their leadership on the value of localization,” noted Brittany.

Expanded brand awareness, PR visibility, and a long-tail content engine

The study unlocked new opportunities for awareness and credibility. Lokalise saw increased inbound interest, earned PR coverage and backlinks, and invitations to external events, including partner webinars.

The report also continues to fuel Lokalise’s content strategy long after launch. Stats from the study appear throughout their articles, social content, sales materials, and presentations. “We add in data stats from this report all the time… we’re constantly using stats from the report,” said Brittany. Rachel concurred:

“It’s just one of those types of content that just keeps on giving… I keep coming up with new ideas all the time.”

The team continues to mine the dataset for industry-specific insights and personalization opportunities, extending the research’s value far beyond its initial release.
